The Singapore Pavilion at World Expo 2025, Osaka, draws inspiration from the “Little Red Dot” – a term of endearment encapsulating Singapore’s bold aspirations and impact despite its small size. This is manifested in The Dream Sphere, a larger-than-life representation of this spirit and identity, conveying the power of dreams and our collective ambition to shape a better future.
The Dream Sphere stands at 17 metres tall at its highest point and spans 18.5 metres in diameter at its widest point.

Inside the Dream Sphere, which includes the adjoining annex building, visitors are immersed in an experiential journey comprising experiential zones, the Dream Repository (housing a participatory experience culminating in an awe-inspiring finale), and the Dream Forest (including a retail boutique and bar). On the ground floor, visitors are welcomed by a café showcasing Singapore’s culinary heritage and serving local favourites like chicken rice, laksa and satay for takeaway.

The Dream Sphere is made of about 17,000 recycled aluminium discs. The overlapping design takes inspiration from the well-known seigaiha (青海波) wave motif, familiar to both Japanese and international audiences. At night, the Dream Sphere comes alive with a captivating glow that beckons visitors, building anticipation for the immersive experience that awaits.

HUNE , together with +U architects and Tetsuki Nakakura Architecture and Urban Design were involved in the Design Development of the Singapore Pavilion for Osaka Expo 2025.


シンガポール共和国はその国土の小ささにもかかわらず国際的な強い存在感をもつことの自負から「Little Red Dot」という愛称で親しまれています。2025年大阪・関西万博におけるシンガポールパビリオンはこの愛称に着想を得て設計されました。シンガポール共和国の精神とアイデンティティーは「Dream Sphere」と名付けられた高さ約17メートル、最大直径18.5メートルの赤い球体の建築物として実現され、同時に、より良い未来をつくるための願いと希望を共有する装置として構想されました。

建物内部においては、来館者は体験型展示「Dream Repository」やショップとバーが併設された「Dream Forest」などの没入感のある展示を楽しむことができます。また、1階にはシンガポールの食文化を体験することができるカフェが設けられ、チキンライスやラクサ、サテー等のシンガポールの代表的な料理をテイクアウト形式で楽しむことができます。

建物の外殻は約17,000枚のリサイクルアルミニウム製の赤い円盤（ディスク）及び繊維強化プラスチック（FRP）によって構成され、ディスクの重なり合うデザインは日本の国内外で親しまれている「青海波」の文様に着想を得てデザインされました。夜間には「Dream Sphere」はディスクの裏に仕込まれたLED照明によって繊細な輝きを放ち、没入型の体験への期待を高めます。

HUNE は＋U architects 及び中倉徹紀建築都市設計と共に2025大阪万博シンガポール館の実施設計を担当しました。
